Co-founder Brad Noonan began working for the esteemed Southern Ontario butcher Witteveen Meats when he was in high school. Brad worked his way up, managing multiple locations before landing in Toronto. Brad quickly became a well known butcher and established trust with a growing customer base in the downtown core and beyond.
In 2011, Brad reconnected with Nicole Hall and her husband Matt. Nicole and Brad worked in the same butcher shop as teenagers for Nicole’s father, and shared similar food philosophies
The team had an idea to provide a better meat experience for the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood, and the quickly expanding downtown core. They wanted to serve high quality meats and prepared foods that were sourced from the best local and regional producers. They found a new retail location at the historic and celebrated food destination: Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market.
Carnicero’s was born in October of 2011, and quickly established itself one of the most respected butcher shops in Toronto.
At Carnicero’s, we offer the highest quality Ontario meats and other fine local and regional products. We hand cut our meats and make our products with fresh ingredients. We also make our own sausages, burgers, meat pies and sauces.
